Two fishermen missing
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Two fishermen were reported yesterday as missing, after they failed to return to their home at Unisan Island in Guimaras, police said.

Vittorio Gallarde reported to the police that his two sons, Filjun, 25. and Jade. 23, went fishing in the territorial waters of Cauayan, Negros Occidental, and Unisan island, Saturday.

Gallarde, however, said his two sons had not returned home up to yesterday and this prompted him to report the incident to the Cauayan Police Station.

Gallarde urged those who may have information on the whereabouts of his two sons, to immediately report it to the nearest police outpost in their areas.*GPB

Meanwhile, a dead fetus believed to be about five months old, was found by a seashell gatherer in a coastal area of Bacolod City during the weekend, the police said yesterday.

It was found by Joel Gallego, a “tahong” farmer in Purok Sigay, Brgy. Singcang-Airport, Bacolod, at about 9 a.m. Saturday, PO2 Noel Vergara of Police Station 8, said.

The fetus was shown in a television report wrapped in a blue plastic container, placed beside a candle at the Purok Sigay chapel, before it was buried.*PP
