CSOs hold summit
on best practices

Civil society organizations in Region 7, under the Central Visayas Network of non-government organizations, are represented in a regional summit and a general assembly yesterday and today at a resort in Valencia, Negros Oriental.

The CenVisNet members are provincial networks, like the NegOrNet for Negros Oriental, Bangon or Bohol Alliance of NGOs Network, and Kaabag sa Sugbu for Cebu. The themed of the summit and general assembly is “Empowering CSOs for Transparency, Resiliency and Peace”.

Also at the assembly are national figures in the NGO sector, like Andrea Maria Patricia Sarenas, chairperson of the CODE-NGO, or Coalition of Development NGO Networks.

in Guam concert

An official of the Silliman University College of Performing and Visual Arts has been invited by the Guam Symphony Society to take a lead role in an all-Mozart concert today and tomorrow in Santa Rita, Guam.

Dean, Elizabeth Susan Vista-Suarez, is the guest conductor and piano soloist in the concert, “The Music of Amadeus”, at the Southern High School Theater, and will also perform the second movement of the Piano Concerto No. 20 by Mozart.

Her two-week stay in Guam includes visits to Untalan Middle School, Simon Sanchez High School, and the Guam Adventist Academy, where she is scheduled to teach music..
