NOFA stays undefeated in
U13 Invitational Cup

After taming Sta. Barbara and Barotac FC in the opening day, host Negros Occidental Football Association went on to beat Manila teams La Salle Greens and Malaya FC to claim their fourth straight win and stay undefeated in the NOFA Under 13 9-a-side Invitational Cup at the Panaad pitch.

The selected players of the host team from San Carlos, Cadiz, Bacolod, Himamaylan, Silay and Victorias blanked La Salle Greens, 4-0,during their morning tussle yesterday then dominated Malaya FC, 5-0, in their afternoon assignment.

With four straight victories, the NOFA boys are assured of the No. 1 spot in Bracket A and advance into the quarterfinals this afternoon against the No. 4 team in Bracket B.

Sports clinic in Cadiz

A badminton clinic initiated by the Cadiz City-based Jaguar Badminton Academy, in connection with the Cadiz City Summer Sports Clinic Program, started Thursday at the Cadiz City Badminton Center.

The sports clinic was attended by 38 beginners, 14 intermediate players and 25 varsity players from different public and private schools of Cadiz City

Present at the opening ceremony of the activity were city officials William Tabanao, Owen Desuyo, and Antonio Lacson with club and association president Roujoe Magbanua, Bangon Cadiznon chairman Chris Ryan Montano, and coaches from the Department of Education.

2015 nat'l PRISAA
opens today in Iloilo

Thousands of athletes from private school in the country converge this week in Iloilo City for the 2015 National Private Schools Athletic Association meet.

The weeklong tournament will open today with an expected 5,000 delegates from regions all over the country.

Host Western Visayas is expected to defend the title it reclaimed last year in Tagum City, Davao Del Norte, where it hauled a total of 99 gold, 54 silver and 74 bronze medals, to dethrone Central Visayas.
