The malnutrition rate in Dumaguete City decreased this year by a slight margin compared to last year, City Nutrition Officer Lourdes Taburaza said.
In Tuesday's Kapihan sa PIA forum on the 42nd Nutrition Month celebration this July, she said the malnutrition rate last year was recorded at 2.27 percent and as of last reporting this year, it dipped to 2.1 percent.
Calindagan, a densely populated area, topped the list of barangays with the highest malnutrition incidence in Dumaguete, Taburaza added.
