Ceres secures 1-0
away win against Kaya

Stephan Schröck scored in injury time to give Ceres-Negros FC a 1-0 away win over Kaya FC-Makati in the first leg of the Philippines Football League semi-finals yesterday at the University of Makati Stadium.

The next match is set on December 9 at the Panaad Stadium.

Yesterday's match proved to be tough for both squads as they aimed to get an advantage at the get-go. Ceres had the first chance to score when Iain Ramsay tried to curl a rebound towards the second post but the ball flashed wide.

Negros Press Club Bowling Team won in all three categories against the Kapisanan Ng MgaBrodkasterssaPilipinas to bag the overall championship in 2017 Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Casino-Filipino) sponsored NPC-KBP Media Bowling Fellowship Games Saturday at the Negros Super Lanes and Entertainment Center in Bacolod City.

It was a sweet revenge for the NPC Team after bowing to KBP-Negros in basketball and volleyball competitions during the “Congressman Greg Gasataya Cup” Media Games last month.

Ateneo dethrones
La Salle in UAAP

After blowing away a double-digit lead in Game 2, the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles found themselves reliving the nightmare in Game 3 until a slam dunk and a booming trey in the final two minutes allowed them to get away with an 88-86 win against the hardfighting La Salle Green Archers to bag the UAAP Season 80 men's basketball title.

It took Ateneo seven deadlocks and seven lead changes in the Game 3 thriller to dethrone La Salle and deliver another championship to the Blue Eagles after five years.

"Mission accomplished," said Matt Nieto in an abs-cbn interview after the game. "All the goals, all the dreams, we made it. It's all worth it."
