at Panaad Dec. 16

Ceres-Negros FC won the first round of the Philippines Football League final against Global Cebu after the Philippines Football League announced yesterday that the championship match between the two Visayas teams will be held at the Panaad Park and Stadium this Saturday. Kick off time is set at 6 p.m.

“As provided under Article 2.11, the selection of venue for the Finals was made by PFL based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, venue availability, commercial, marketing, and financial considerations,” the PFL decision as posted on its website stated.

“After due consideration and inspection of the Rizal Memorial Stadium, the PFL decided to hold the Finals in Pana-ad and Park Stadium which had also hosted international events such as the AFC Cup and the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Qualifiers,” the PFL statement added.

Bacolod grabs 4 gold medals
in secondary athletics events
PALARONG PANLALAWIGAN

Bacolod City School Division (Area 7) established an early lead in secondary athletics with four gold medals at the start of the competition in the 2017 Negros Occidental Palarong Panlalawigan (Provincial Meet) at the Panaad Park and Stadium yesterday.

Charles Largavista and Bernalyn Bejoy won the gold medal for Area 7 in secondary boys and girls' 400- meter run, while Trixie Dela Torre and Franzine Alamo posted a 1-2 finish for the Bacolod delegation in secondary girls' long jump.

Jeninifer Hudierez added another gold to Area 7 first day haul by topping the secondary girls' long jump while Chrisha Aguillon settled for the silver medal in elementary girls' 400 meters.

Silverado, Center Line take
lead in bowling tilt

Silverado/ASSFBI and Center Line 2 men's team secured the No. 1 spot in their respective division, while ASSFBI Ladies stayed on top in the women's bracket of the 14 th Bowlers Club of Bacolod City Open Trio Duckpin Bowling Tournament at the Negros Super Lanes and Entertainment Center in Bacolod City.

The Silverado's composed of Norman Pineda, Johann Genolos, Cesar Sumaylo, Orly Guiljon and Cecil Ramon Silverio hammered a round-high 1,020 points to grab the No.1 post with a total score of 5,005 sending erstwhile leader BCY 1 of Bobby Yap to third overall with 4,966.
