You serve as an inspiration to every Filipino to strive for betterment, and for us in government to ensure honest and prompt delivery of service to our people, he said as he delivered the message of Labor Secretary Silvestr Bello lll during the recognition of the city's outstanding taxpayers and employees during the Commemoration of the 79th Year of the Signing of the Charter of Bacolod City at the Bacolod City Government Centeryesterday.
Say said The consistent truthfulness of our outstanding taxpayers in fulfilling their tax obligations is most laudable. Their exemplary deeds made significant contributions and helped to further propel the city's unbridled growth, he said.
With President Duterte's resolve to give the country an accountable and transparent administration, the people can rest assured that their taxes are being put to good use for the benefit of the people, Say said.
The numerous developments and brisk operations of business and companies in Bacolod are testaments to your hard work. We are reminded that competent and productive employees are valuable assets of successful undertakings, especially wheh they perform with integrity, he told the employees.
The top 5 corporate business taxpayers for 2016 are Mainstream Business Inc. (SM Department Store), Neo Food Corp. (Jollibee - East), SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SM City Bacolod), Schuurmans& Van GinnekenPhils. Inc.,and Freemont Foods Corp. (Jollibee -Lacson).
The top five individual business taxpayers for 2016are JerrySy (Silver Dragon Construction Lumber and Glass Supply), John L. Qua (J. Qua Construction), Manuel Y. Po (L J P Trading), Jose Maria C. Cajili Jr. (C.H. Chicken House Bacolod), and Marlene R. Lamata (Rivson Commercial).
The top five corporate real property taxpayer for 2016 are SM Prime Holdings Inc., San Miguel Brewery Inc., Coca-Cola FEMSA Phils. Inc., Bacolod Capitol Hill Land Dev. Corp. (888 Chinatown), and Dynasty Management and Dev. Corp. (Gaisano Bacolod).
The top five individual real property taxpayers for 2016 are Rolando J. Corona Jr., Catherine G. Ong, Luis T. Ong, Jacinto V. Palma, andBelina G. Ong.
The outstanding employees (supervisory level) are Elias Alias, department head of the Bacolod City College, Engr. Noel Impreso, OIC of the City Enginer's Office, and Teodoro Silva, Market Supervisor II, Socio-Economic Enterprise Unit.
The outstanding employees (non-supervisory level) are Wilson Verte - Utility Worker I of the Department of Public Services , Robert Magat Construction and Maintenance Man, City Engineer's Office; Elizabeth Carbaquil Utility Worker I, Department of Public Services, and Remia A. Quebrar Clerk II, Bacolod City Public Library.
Impreso and Verte received P5,000 each from the Rotary Club of Bacolod and a plaque from the city government. They are also set to receive a P10,000 cash prize each for being chosen winners in the supervisory and non-supervisory level.
All winners received plaques from the Rotary Club of Bacolod led by Dr. Hector Gayares Jr.
