Kaya out for `revenge'

Twins Marvin and Marwin Angeles, Jayson Panhay, and Jalsor Soriano of the visiting Kaya FC Makati will be playing against their former team, Ceres-Negros, at 7 tonight as the two squads collide for the second time in the Philippines Football League at the Pana-ad Stadium in Bacolod City.

Panhay, one of the Ceres originals, yesterday said during a press conference that it will be an interesting match and he would like to win against his former team.

“Me and Jalsor…we think it will be great to win as we would like to show them (Ceres) that they made a mistake in letting us go,” Panhay said with a smile.

All-Terrain in Petron Cup

Sprint 4t Racer recovered from a double- digit first quarter deficit to stun Rev-X All Terrain, 89-76, while Rev-X Pantera slipped past Sprint 4t Enduro, 82-79, in the 35 and below Fil-Sino Inter-Color Petron Cup at Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Terrain exploded for a record-setting 40 points in the opening quarter with Luigi Coo leading the way with 20 points while teammate Yan Yan Dy added 11 markers as Racer managed to deliver 15 points.

But Terrain failed to sustain the opening quarter surge as they surrendered the next three quarters to Sprint Racer.

BCNHS Class ‘81/89 grabs lead in
Triangular Bowling tournament

BCNHS Class ‘81/89 Combined grabbed the No.1 spot in the premiere division, as BCHS C'73 and DLNHS C'77 stayed on top in their respective category of the ongoing Negros Occidental High School/Bacolod High School/Domingo Lacson National High School 8 th Triangular Bowl Fest For Unity 2017at the Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

After two rounds of competition in the championship round, the Razel Goyon-led BCNHS V'81/89 Combined is now on top of the overall standing with 3,037 pinfalls sending erstwhile leader DLNHS C'75, spearheaded by Joe Banquiran and Rowena Juarez, to No.2 with 2,996.

At third and fourth spots NOHS C'65 and NOHS C'94 with 2,953 and 2,943, respectively.
