Ceres faces Stallions
in Laguna today

Rest needs to take a back seat in the Ceres-Negros FC itinerary in the next seven days as the team gets re-acquainted with the Stallions Laguna in back-to-back games today and on Wednesday in the elimination round Philippines Football League.

The Busmen enjoy a 2-0 record against the Stallions when they hosted the Laguna squad in June 28 and July 1. Ceres prevailed 5-1 in their first encounter then followed it up with a 5-2 victory days after.

Playing their third game in eight days, fatigue and injuries will factor into Ceres' performance today despite the team's deep pool of talent.

MassKara bowling tourney

INCIRBA PRES Manila got the upperhand in the men's division, as Triple D Iligan surged to the top in the women's department after three days of competition in the Kami Mga Hubin-organized National Masskara Open Trio Duckpin Bowling Championship at the Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

The team from Manila collected a total score of 1,078 pin falls, while Triple D posted 1,000 to lead the distaff side.

KMH Lansky-Bacolod occupied the second spot with 1,076 followed by Davies/BCY/Silverado-Bacolod Combined with 1,068.

Meralco ties PBA
Finals series at 2-2

Allen Durham and Baser Amer executed perfect plays in the crunch, and Meralco pulled off an escape act, squeezing through, 85-83, last night to force a tie after four games of the PBA Governors Cup Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Durham and Amer drained big shots, and the Bolts watched the Kings muff critical shots of their own to win the well-fought contest before a raucous crowd of over 16,000.

The two teams break the 2-2 logjam in the best-of-seven series in Game Five Sunday over at the Philippine Arena.
