Fill the stadium and cheer for the home team.

This, in effect, were the words of an international football expert and author, for Negrenses when their home team, Ceres-Negros FC, faces FC istiklol of Tajikistan at Panaad Stadium tonight for a slot in the Zonal Finals of the Asian Football Confederation Cup.

The Ceres Negros Busmen face the tall order of winning over the Tajikistan squad by at least five markers after they succumbed to their host, 0-4, in their away match against the Tajiks in in Dushanbe on Aug. 22.

Tall order ahead but Ceres FC
not going down without a fight

Four goals down going into tonight's match, Ceres-Negros FC head coach RistoVidakovic admitted it will be difficult to get past FC Istikloland advance to the 2017 AFC Cup Zonal finals. But he said the Busmen will go for the win.

“If we had to get out, we are going to do it with a win,” Vidakovic said in a joint press conference yesterday with the visiting team from Tajikistan.

It will be a tall order for the Busmen as the The Crowns are treating tonight's final leg of the Inter-Zone semi-finals at the Panaad Park and Football Stadium in Bacolod City as their “first game” with the score back to 0-0.

AACI Trading beats Transport,
83-69, to jump start 2 nd Conference title bid

AACI Trading defeated AACI Transport, 83-69, at the start of the 2017 2 nd Conference Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. Inter-Color Basketball Tournament Wednesday at TTHS Po Hang Gym.

RJ Iligan scored two triples while Vincent Tan delivered two fastrbreak layups in the first quarter to set in motion Trading's dominance over Transport despite an 8-point production from Joel Masadia for Transport in the opening minutes.

After grabbing numerous defensive rebounds, Bren Tajonera engineered a fastbreak attack for Trading in the second quarter, issuing pinpoint passes to his teammates.
