Ceres vs. Ilocos at
Pana-ad today

Ceres-Negros clashes anew against Ilocos United FC tonight, 7 p.m., in the Philippines Football League (PFL) match at the Pana-ad Park and Stadium.

As before, Ceres management is giving the football fans in Negros the chance to watch a high-calibre match among the countries top players for free.

In a press conference yesterday, Ceres coach Ian Treyes said all members of the team are ready to give their best and secure another win against Ilocos United.

The task, however, will not be easy as Ilocos had been busy in the transfer window with former Loyola centerback Adam Mitter, Kaya midfielder Charlie Beaton, and Global striker Arthur Koussai suiting up for the Northern squad.

Ceres scored an overwhelming 7-0 win against Ilocos in their first encounter at the Pana-ad nearly a couple of months ago, but with the veterans strengthening the team from the North, the Busmen need to be in their best form.

Ilocos head coach Ian Gillan considers Ceres as the top team in the league but Ilocos, despite being the youngest club in the PFL, aims for a win in their second visit to Bacolod

The three new players of Ilocos have linked-up nicely with the teams' core and delivered a win for the squad against JPV Marikina, a report from the Ceres Media Bureau said.

Ilocos would be keen to continue the momentum of their first win, armed with a complete lineup, and with better team play overall, the report added.

Ceres-Negros is also riding on their own momentum with an unbeaten run of three games with the last match seeing a 1-0 conquest of rivals Global Cebu at the Pana-ad pitch last week, the report said.*
