Fun run set to aid
school sports drive

The 6th Fun Run for a cause and zumba activity will be held to benefit the sports program of Romanito Maravilla Sr. NationalHigh School in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.

Addy Arca, athletics coach and fun run coordinator, said the activity will start at 6 a.m. tomorrow.

The school is home to Palarong Pambansa and Batang Pinoy as well as to international athletics winners.

At the recent ASEAN School Sports Championships held in Malaysia, its two athletes, javelin thrower Ann Katherine Quitoy and long jumper Trexie Dela Torre won two gold medals, including Quitoy’s record-breaking feat.

The Saturday activity's registration fees are P50 for students, P75 for guests and P100 for alumni, Arca said.

“Your participation will help us strengthen more our sports program and, more than that, you become our partner in sports development,” she added.*
