BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

Four unidentified armed suspects ransacked and took cash from the Honda Cars showroom in Brgy. Zone 15, Talisay City, Negros Occidental Tuesday night.

The suspects also hogtied and disarmed the two security guards identified by the police as John Galanza and Danilo Dinoro.

Galanza was also hit in the head with a gun, before he was hogtied together with Dinoro, before the suspects forcibly opened a vault containing cash, using a hammer and an acetylene torch.

The suspects also took the memory card of the CCTV. The robbery incident lasted for almost two hours, based on testimonies of the two disarmed guards.

Investigations of the Talisay police showed that the suspects who were Ilonggo speaking, took about P44,000 in cash from the vault and two 9mm pistols of the two security guards.

Supt. Boots Aseo, Talisay City Police Station officer-in-charge, said in his report to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, that they are still investigating the ransacking incident and trying to establish the identities of the four suspects.

The possibility of an “inside job” is also being looked into by police probers.*
