Three persons were injured in a stabbing incident in Purok Arao, Barangay Vista Alegre in Bacolod City, at about 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
Injured were Ramiro Libo-on, 64, Rodney Abkilan, 54, and Jessie Bangoy Jr., 40, all of the barangay. They were brought to different hospitals in Bacolod, Senior Insp. Ramel Sarona, Police Station 7 chief, said yesterday.
Libo-on sustained a stab wound, while Abkilan and Bangoy were hit in their abdomens, a police report said.
Investigation showed that Libo-on, Abkilan and Bangoy were having a drinking session at the house of a certain Jude Prologo, when the suspects, without provocation, suddenly entered and stabbed them, the police said.
The suspects were armed with knives, Sarona said, but there were no recoveries from the crime scene.
The suspects were later identified as Carlito Ronamo, 43, Angelito Nabi, 18, Jomar Nabi, 29, of Barangay Vista Alegre, and an alias “Chick boy”, of Barangay Mandalagan in Bacolod, police said.
Sarona said Ronamo, the two Nabis, and alias “Chick boy” are all at large.
The stabbings allegedly happened when Ronamo reportedly lost his goat and suspected that the suspects residing in Barangay 30, Bacolod had stolen it. It happened that the victims, who had just transferred to Barangay Vista Alegre, were from Barangay 30, Sarona said.
Although still at large, charges for frustrated murder are being readied against the suspects, Sarona added.*SGG
