Ceres-Negros sets eyes
on Champions League

Ceres-Negros FC heads for Myanmar this weekend for the Jan. 16 preliminaries of the 2018 AFC Champions League against Shan United of Myanmar hoping to get a good result despite not having enough time to train.

During a press conference yesterday, Ceres Head Coach RistoVidakovic said they will try to do their best and he expects from all the players to play together as a team.

Coming off from a long season, Vidakovic said there is not enough time to prepare for the Champions League but he believes in his players and he expects them to work hard and to be ready against Myanamar.

Blackwater determined
to beat Ginebra

Ranged against the powerhouse Barangay Ginebra team to start 2018, Blackwater is looking at the bright side of it, embracing the opportunity for a possible upset to boost its campaign.

"It would be something special for us if we be the first team to hand Ginebra its first defeat in the conference," said Blackwater coach Leo Isaac ahead of their 7 p.m. showdown Friday at the MOA Arena in Pasay City.

"We are going to give our very best and try to win," said Isaac whose troops will be out to pull the rug from under the Gin Kings and be among the early frontrunners in the PBA Philippine Cup eliminations.
