Castillo PCG
San Carlos head

The Coast Guard Station in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, has a new commander.

Petty Officer 1st Class Walter Castillo assumed as the new commander of PCG-San Carlos, succeeding Petty Officer 2nd Class Dionesio Saquian Jr., Lt. Jimmy Oliver Vingno, commander of the PCG-Negros Occidental, said yesterday.

Vingno, who presided over the turnover of command at the headquarters of the Coast Guard Provincial Office Negros Occidental in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City Thursday, said Saquian was transferred to the Coast Guard District-Western Visayas in Iloilo.

Castillo, before being designated as PCG-San Carlos head, was assigned at the Coast Guard Education and Training Command in Manila, Vingno said.

Castillo is from Tanza town in Cavite province.

Vingno said there are 11 Coast Guard stations under the PCG Provincial Office-Negros Occidental.*SGG
