Operation went well
for injured Manny Ott

The road to recovery starts for Ceres Negros midfielder Manny Ott after the operation went well for the recent facial fracture he suffered during the game against JPV Marikina in the Philippines Football League.

In his Instagram account, Ott posted a picture showing him lying on a hospital bed at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Manila with a noticeable injury under his right eye. He captioned the picture: “Operation went well, thanks of the amazing doctors taking care of me!”

In the same post, he thanked those who sent him messages of comfort and those who visited him in the hospital.

“Now recovery starts to get me back on the field again.. ASAP!,” Ott said.

The talented key player of Ceres was injured after getting an inadvertent elbow on the face from JPV’s Ryuki Kozawa while both of them were jockeying for position to the get the ball during the second half.

Ott was stretchered out of the game and later, Ceres head coach Risto Vidakovic confirmed that he was injured.

Vidakovic told the media later that with their very tight schedule in the PFL, he is running out of players to field due to injuries.

In their last two games, Ceres won their home game against the Davao Aguilas, 2-1, and draw with Kaya-Iloilo, 1-1, five days ago in Iloilo.*NAB
