Top Ace turns back Mower


Top Ace regained its form repulsing Mower, 89-79, in the 2nd ABC –LEADS Agri Cup, Thursday Night at Ayala North Gym in Talisay City.

Leading by as much as 30 points, Top Ace took control of the game from tip-off despite a last minute rally from Mower, cruising to its second victory after four outings.

Jay R Salga paced Top Ace with 23 points, Philip Abong and Dario Barba added 12 and 10 points respectively while Mark Carmona chipped in 9 points.

Absorbing its second loss in the tournament after three games, Mower was led by Richard Arroyo with 17 markers while Yanyan Dy and Andrei Dadivas finished with 11 points each.

In the nightcap, Karmex squeaked past Leadforce, 78-72, for their second straight win after an initial loss.

Miguel Mosquera topscored with 14 points, Jeremy Coo and Vince Tan had 11 and 10 points, respectively, while Ramon Khey and Alex Fernandez combined for 17 points.

Rixie Ureta led Leadforce with 10 points, Marcos Escalante and Martin Jalandoni has identical 9 points as Luigi Coo and Luigino Lacson finished with 8 points each.*
