River Valley Baptist Church turns 38

Amid the struggles and challenges faced throughout the year, the River Valley Baptist Church still stood strong and unwavering as they celebrate their 38th anniversary in Bago City, Negros Occidental recently.

With the theme, “We honor God through unwavering faith and services”, the RVBC members cherished their time as they listen to the Word of God through pastor John Palle Jr., who was their guest speaker.

The church is spearheaded by pastor Jimmy Rillo and his wife, Josephine. Together with other pastors from different local churches, the celebration was held to awake and strengthen the heart of each church member.

Activities during the celebration included preaching, worship, and praises all offered by the members for God’s glory to show their gratitude and love to the Almighty Father; fellowship, and games such as balloon relay, eat what you get, trip to Jerusalem and message relay, that were participated with gusto by different church groups, such as the men’s group, ladies group, young professionals, young people, and the juniors. Several prizes were prepared along with a raffle draw.

The celebration ended with everyone filled with the Holy Spirit, joy and love as they fellowshipped with other Christians, knowing that together, they will start another year honouring God with their unwavering faith and service.*
