Terrapinta group exhibit ongoing

The Terrapinta visual art group exhibit, titled “Panalingsing – Ang Gab-e sg Binalaybay”, can be viewed at Mudmonkeys resto in Homesite, Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City, until Nov. 14.

The exhibit showcases the artworks of Marse Cuenca, Jose Cuenca Vasquez, Yep Yep Yanson, Ken Manlangatan, Lovely Buenafe, Michelle Ma Belle Tupaz-Cortez, Rez Galvez, Jak Bobby, Georgia Louise Daganasol, Louie Dan Elarmo, Arnel Villaceran, Joe Lestrange, Jade Esquilla, Joey Destriza, Gil John Cadivida, Marisol Alquizar, MT Alquizar, Janine Alquizar Po, and Alexa Escanillan.

Former Art Association of Bacolod-Negros president, Rodney Martinez, was the guest of honor at the opening on Oct. 14.

The show also featured the Kalamayhati Band.

Terrapinta is an art circle based mainly in Bacolod City and was initiated by local artists with Rex Cuenca’s guidance in the late 2000s.

The group’s founding members, who are mostly also of AAB-N, include Marse Cuenca, Rez Galvez, Chin Guanzon, and Mel Araneta.

The group grew as the years went by with several artists, such as Marisol Alquizar, Michelle Tupaz, and Joey Destriza joining in.*
