PVO boosts laboratory services

The Provincial Veterinary Office is boosting its efforts to help students with their school research projects they allowing them to conduct laboratory analysis in the Provincial Feed and Meat Laboratory to aid their experiential and practical learning, Provincial Veterinarian, Dr. Renante Decena, said yesterday.

Decena said the availability of laboratory facilities in the course of students’ research experiences was found to create a great impact on their problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Student researchers in Negros Occidental visited the governor’s office and thanked Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. for the free access of laboratory services at the Provincial Feed and Meat Laboratory of the PVO, created as one of the thrusts of his Negros First Agenda.

gets Gawad Parangal awards

The Bacolod City Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office received the 2018 Gawad Parangal awards from the Cooperative Development Authority during the CDA Gawad Parangal, held at the Nobu Hotel in Quezon City recently.

The trophies were for the Regional Gawad Parangal for Best Performing LGU Cooperative Development Office in Region 6, and the National Gawad Parangal for 3rd Best Performing LGU-CDO.

The BCCLDO also received a plaque of recognition as a national nominee.
