Business Expo 2018

Business pillars and industry movers from the Visayas regions recently gathered in Bacolod City for the 27th Visayas Area Business Conference and Exposition.

Held in various landmarks of Bacolod, the 5-day affair kicked off with the Philippine Franchise Associations’ 1st Franchise Negosyo Expo para sa Bacolod, at the La Proa Ballroom of L’Fisher Hotel where various exhibitors showcased their products and innovations.

Present during the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Provincial Administrator Lucille Gelvolea, DTI provincial director Lea Gonzales, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Algeria Limjoco, Silay City Mayor Mark Golez, Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Bobby Montelibano, and PCCI director Samie Lim.

Among the highlights of the memorable gathering was the Fellowship Night attended by local government unit executives, the academe, and Senator Cynthia Villar. Also present were c onsul Samuel Chioson, Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief executive officer Frank Carbon, and regional governors Donna Ratilla of Region VI, Edward Du of Region VII, and Henry Cua of Region VII. More than 300 delegates graced the halls and were treated to a performance by the MassKara dancers.

The Visayas Area Business Conference was organized by the MBCCI and aimed to highlight and give importance for the national and local governments to work hand in hand in fulfilling and creating a robust economy and sustainable growth of the business sector.*
