BY JOEVEL A. BARTOLOME

The second leg of the national Petron Motorsports Karting Academy of Petron Corporation will be held at Central E Bacolod in the city later this month.

The registration, lecture, and briefing will be held on October 29, to be followed by the qualifying, time trials, and awarding of trophies and certificates to the participants on October 30.

Lessons on fundamentals of karting, through both application and instruction, will be conducted by renowned motorsports coach, Edgen Dy Liacco.

Cadet drivers, or children aged 7 to 12 years old, and adult drivers, or children aged 13 to 16 years old, can register by bringing one 1x1 ID picture on registration day.

The Karting Academy, locally organized by Carmona Racetrack, is a clinic that aims to discover young aspirants and develop their talents and skills in karting.

The clinic also aims to field competitive Filipino drivers for the Asian Karting International competition, among others.

The first Petron Motorsports Karting Academy was held in Cebu City in August.*
