Trunk shows set

Three trunk shows in Seda Hotel’s bridal suites in Bacolod, Iloilo, and Davao will be held, and will feature gorgeous Spanish gowns and beautiful dresses from the exclusive cocktail collection, a press release said.

The trunk show will be held in Iloilo today until Sunday, Oct. 12-14 in Bacolod, and on Nov. 9 -11 in Davao.

For the first time since opening in the Philippines in 2011, the Rosa Clará Philippines is taking its gowns on the road, after brides from other cities have been flying in to Manila to purchase the gowns.

CSA-B Performing Arts shows set

The Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod Performing Arts will hold a one-hour show, titled “Panggas: Sowing the Bounties of the Arts through Community Empowerment”, 7 tonight at the Siquijor Provincial Gym, and 7 p.m. tomorrow at Rizal Boulevard Pantawan in Dumaguete City, its press release said.

The group, composed of the Kanlaon Theater Guild and the Kagayon Dance Troupe, is a grantee of the 2018 Cultural Exchange Local Tour Grants Program of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, through its Cultural Exchange Department.

“Panggas”, a Hiligaynon term for “to sow”, will be divided into five segments, to include “Gunita”, a contemporary dance choreographed by Jed Amihan of Air Dance; “Duna”, an oratorio on the seven days of destruction of the environment, that was the champion in the Installation and Performance Arts Competition of the 2017 Mambukal Resort Mudpack Festival;

“Tubig”, a contemporary dance choreographed by Georgette Sanchez; “Si Iska Nga Permi Handa”, an interactive musical play about disaster preparedness, mitigation and adaptation which was the 2016 Ten Accomplished Youth Organization awardee under the auspices of the National Youth Commission; and “Mugna”, a fashion show on the creative industries of Calatrava and Kabankalan, the press release said.

The free show is supported by the provincial government of Siquijor and the City of Dumaguete, the press release added.*
