JCI award

The Metro Bacolod Junior Chamber recently held its flagship project, the Three Outstanding Student Council Awards 2019. Guest speaker was Talisay City first lady, lawyer Rowena Lopez Lizares, who is the charter president of JCI Metro Bacolod.

The Outstanding Student Council awardees were Bacolod Tay Tung High School, St. Scholastica’s Academy Bacolod, and the Negros Occidental High School.

The TOSCA 2019 special awards were the Hernan D. Lopez Jr. business leader award, given to St. John’s institute; the Atty. Jonathan Ealdama values formation award, given to the University of St. La Salle; and the Judge Demosthenes L. Magallanes community service award, given to St. Scholastica’s Academy.

The Science and Technology award was given to La Consolacion College – Bacolod; the Arts, Culture, and Sports award received by St. John’s Institute; and the Environmental Awareness award given to Bacolod City National High School.

Joining this year’s TOSCA were the Bacolod City National High School, Bacolod Tay Tung High School, La Consolacion College-Bacolod, Negros Occidental High School, St. John’s Institute, St. Scholastica’s Academy, and the University of St. La Salle-IS.

The organizing committee members are lawyer Kirk Andrew Magnabe - 2018 president, JCI Metro Bacolod; Ferdinand Daniel Magallanes - chairman, TOSCA 2019; lawyer Roland Jun Pugoy - 2016 president, JCI Metro Bacolod; Anna Ibonia, and Kurt Soberano.*
