Negros Occidental schools have 2,377 passers of the September 2019 Licensure Examination for Teachers, in both elementary and secondary levels, the Professional Regulation Commission, announced yesterday.
Of the passers 876 are for elementary, and 1,532 are for secondary.
The passers for elementary level in Negros Occidental are part of the 28,973 who passed the examination out of 92,440 who took the exam, nationwide.
There were 54,179 secondary teachers who passed the LET out of the 136,523 who took the examination in the whole country, the PRC said.
Sheena Khimber Lee Bayawa Tan of Silliman University in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, along with 14 others, landed in the fifth spot in the elementary level of the teacher’s board exam, garnering a rating of 90.80 percent.
Kezia Keren Ambag of the Philippine Normal University-Mindanao, Joshua Sebigan Canseco of Mindanao State University-General Santos City, and Anjo Jurado Literatu stopped the LET September 2019, elementary level, with 92.60 ratings.
Topnotcher for the secondary level was Marlou Pugoy Camano of the University of Southern Mindanao-Kidapawan having a rating of 93.40 percent.*
