PACE asking guv
for additional bonus

The Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees is asking Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to grant the Negros Occidental provincial government employees additional bonuses.

Renelo Lastierre, PACE vice president, said yesterday that the union is asking for the release of the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) bonus, Productivity Enhancement Incentive and the Incentive Benefits for Exemplary Service as additional bonuses for the employees.

Lastierre, who did not specify how much they are asking for, said they are hoping it will be more than last year’s but it will depend on the governor.

An P80,000 additional yearend bonus was granted provincial government employees last year.

“We believe that the provincial government has funds for it and the Lacson administration looks after the welfare of the workers at the Capitol,” he said.

Provincial Budget Officer Jose Percival had said earlier that there are available funds for the extra bonus of Capitol officials and employees, but the exact amount can be determined when the December payroll is prepared.*
