Women’s beach volley highlights
UNO-R College Sportsfest 2019

 

NOPSSCEA women’s beach volleyball reigning champions University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos will host three other college teams when the Women’s Beach Volleyball Invitational Competition opens this week as part of the UNO-R College Sportsfest 2019.

To compete in the event are host UNO-R, Riverside College, Colegion San Agustin – Bacolod, and STI-West Negros University.

The Sportsfest, which will open today with a 7:30 a.m. mass at the UNO-R Oratory will also feature an Invitation Latin Dancesport competition with 10 public high schools in Bacolod and parts of Negros Occidental vying for the top honors.

Today’s opening ceremony will be highlighted by the Sportsfest Dance Craze.

Anchored on the theme, “Torched 2019: Igniting the Flame, Radiating the Tatak-Recoleto Spirit,” athletes from participating college of the Arts and Sciences, Criminal Justice Education, Engineering, Education, Business and Accountancy, Allied Medical Health Sciences, and Information Technology will battle in men and women’s athletics, basketball, chess, football, table tennis, and volleyball.

The event is spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for Student Welfare, Sports Office headed by Elma Lina Tejida, the Supreme Student Government, and the College Councils.*
