Cops seize more drugs, guns


Seven more drug suspects have been added to the list of those neutralized for their illegal activities by the police, with their apprehension in Negros Occidental during the weekend.

Four of the seven drug suspects identified as Jason Arile, Manuel Uy, Janine Shane Villamor and Mariel Castellano were apprehended by the police during a buy-bust operation at Carmona Street in Brgy. 4, San Carlos City.

The arrest of the four suspects yielded seven grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P84,000, a black Widow 9mm caliber revolver, a gun holster, P500 in marked money and drug paraphernalia, the San Carlos City police said.

The buy-bust operation in Crossing Paho, Brgy. Luna in Cadiz City, also led to the arrest of John Mark Wayco and the recovery of P14,000 worth of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money, an improvised tooter and a Motorstar motorcycle.

A certain Joemel Rodriguez was also nabbed by the police yesterday in another buy-bust operation in Brgy. Igmaya-an, Salvador Benedicto.

The apprehension of Rodriguez yielded a sachet of suspected shabu, P200 in marked money, a Honda Wave motorcycle, P900 in cash and a cellular phone.

A tricycle driver identified as Edgardo Edaño was apprehended in Brgy. 1 poblacion, Manapla, also for violation of RA 9165,or the Comprehensive Drug Act of 2002.

Four sachets of suspected shabu and P500 in marked money were also recovered by the Manapla police from his possession during the buy-bust operation.

Policemen also arrested Milende Siarotat in Brgy. Ugtongan, Escalante City, also for violation of RA 9165.

The apprehension of Siarot also yielded four sachets of suspected shabu and P500 in marked money.

The seven arrested drug suspects are now in jail.*
