City BOSS extended to Feb. 28

An ordinance extending the deadline of payment of business tax and renewal of business permits, from January 20 to February 28, was approved by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod Wednesday.

Bacolod Councilor Caesar Distrito said that in order to assist taxpayers and businessmen, and give them ample time to process their business permits, they extended the deadline to February 28 so they won’t have to pay surcharges.

Distrito said this will benefit the 22,000 businessestablishments in Bacolod City.

The Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by its president, Roberto Montelibano, earlier requested Mayor Evelio Leonardia for an extension in filing their application for mayor’s permit for 2019, and the first quarter payment of their business tax, in a letter dated January 7.*
