BY RENE GENOVE

The Dumaguete City government will undertake another major restoration and preservation project, with an appropriated budget of P5,272, 570, for the century-old Manuel L. Quezon Park in the city.

The project is separate from the one focused on restoring the monument of Dr. Jose Rizal in the center of Quezon Park. Restoration works will begin next month.

Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo approved the project that will include the construction of concrete benches, concrete pavers, landscaping, tree planting and electrical works with LED floodlights, among others.

The City Engineer's Office prepared the plans and design of the project that will improve one of the city's heritage sites.*
