Bacoleņo karateka wins in Busan

Young karatekas representing the Philippines won medals during the 31st Busan Mayor's Cup and 12th Korea Open International Karatedo Championship recently held in Busan, South Korea.

Thirteen-year-old Juan Miguel Sebastian Jadie from Bacolod City won the gold medal in Under 13 male individual kumite while 13-year-old Caizera Margaux Maraňon bagged the bronze medal in Under 13 female individual kata.

Both karatekas were members of the PKTS - Philippines delegation that competed in the tournament.

to post 6th straight win in Fil-Sino caging

Silver Dragon Transport racked up its 6thstraight win against Royal Star Trading, 98-61, while Basecom survived a gritty All Asian Countertrade in overtime, 83-79, Friday in Class B action of the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inc. Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

The undefeated fastbreaking Silver Dragon Transport dominated all quarters for the blowout victory.

Jomi Montinola paced Silver Dragon Transport with 28 points as Simon Tan and Edward Uy added 21 points.
