Bizman shot dead in Bago
BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

A 35-year-old businessman was shot dead Monday in Brgy. Dulao, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

The victim, identified as Reniel Ramos, succumbed to a gunshot wound at the back of his head, the police said yesterday.

Bago police investigation showed that the suspect, identified as Marjune Suyo of Brgy. Busay, Bago City, tilled the rice farm owned by Ramos.

When Ramos, accompanied by his laborer, on board a Canter truck, tried to get the harvested rice of Suyo as a form of payment for his debt, the latter shot him without any provocation, the police said.

Suyo also tried to shoot the companion of Ramos, but his gun jammed. The incident was reported by the companion of Ramos to the Bago City Police Station.

But Suyo, who reportedly took the wallet and cellular phone of the victim, managed to escape on board a black Kawasaki Barako motorcycle, when the police arrived at the crime scene.

An empty shell and two live ammunition of a .45 caliber pistol were recovered by the police at the scene of incident.*
