BY CARLA P. GOMEZ

It looks like only the first nominee of Abang Lingkod Partiylist will be able to grab a congressional seat.

Rep. Stephen Paduano of Negros Occidental is expected to regain his Abang Lingkod Party list posts.

However, Abang Lingkod does not appear to have gained enough votes for a second seat. Its second nomitee was former Talisay Mayor Eric Saratan.

In the national tally AbangLingkod was ranked number 27 with 267,825 votes while in Negros Occidental it was in number one with 141,517 votes, results posted on Halalan 2019 of ABS-CBN showed.

In the returns from the 20 towns and cities in Negros Occidental submitted to the Provincial Board of Canvassers the following partylist groups were in the top 10: A bang Lingkod - 67,460, Bayan Muna - 23,596. ACT-CIS - 16,509, Apec - 14,211, Kalinga - 11,196, Ang Probinsyano - 6,911, Maypagasa - 6,034, CIBAC - 5,950, Probinsyano Ako - 5,896 and Patrol - 5,767.*
