Policeman, 3 others
hurt in traffic accident

A policeman and three others were injured in a series of traffic accidents Sunday night in Brgy. Poblacion, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

Police Senior MSgt. Agustin Alicante was sideswiped by a Black Rusi tricycle driven by Roberto Ricarte Jr., who immediately fled after the incident.

While he was fleeing, the motorcycle of Ricarte sideswiped another Rusi motorcycle driven by Joel de Jose, a non-uniformed personnel of the PNP assigned at the La Carlota City Police Station, and bumped a Mitsubishi Strada vehicle driven by Aaron Pagunsan, the Bago City police said.

Alicante, who is assigned at the Bago City Police Station, de Jose and Kenneth de la Torre, who was riding with Ricarte in his motorcycle, suffered minor injuries.

Ricarte, 31, a resident of Brgy. Palaka Norte, Pulupandan, also suffered multiple injuries, and was brought to the Bago City District Hospital.*
