Cadiz senior citizen
hacked dead PNP
BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

A senior citizen was hacked and killed by a suspect, who was under the influence of liquor on Wednesday, in Brgy. Andres Bonifacio, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

The victim identified by the police as Nenita Aguisando, 61, succumbed to multiple hack wounds and was declared dead on arrival at the Cadiz City Emergency Clinic.

Initial police investigation showed that the suspect, identified as Joel Corros, alias Mamay, who was armed with a cane cutter, went wild after engaging in heated arguments with the victim, who was his neighbor.

Before the incident, the victim filed a complaint against the suspect before the barangay.

Corros, who later surrendered to the police, is now detained at the custodial facility of the Cadiz City Police Station pending the filing of murder charges against him in court.*
