A man was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Purok Fatima, Barangay 31 in Bacolod City, at about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday.
Anti-illegal drug operatives of Station 6, led by P/Capt. Elmer Bonilla, nabbed Homer Verdeprado, 41, of the barangay, with eight sachets of suspected shabu, worth P11,000, including the buy-bust item, P300 in marked money, and drug paraphernalia, police records show.
Bonilla said Verdeprado is classified as a street-level individual, and is now detained at the custodial facility of Station 6 while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being readied against him.*SGG
