One of the two persons reported as missing on January 9 in Barangay Malubon, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, has been found dead, according to the Philippine Coast Guard.
The lifeless body of one of the missing persons was discovered on Sunday by Bantay Suba members along the riverbank of Purok Jordan in Brgy. Fabrica, Sagay City.
The discovered cadaver was positively identified by his family, reports of the PCG Northern Negros Occidental showed.
Search and retrieval operations for the other missing person are still ongoing as of press time.*
