More than P2.5 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by the police in a series of buy operations on November 11, 13, and 14 in Negros Occidental, and highly urbanized Bacolod City.
The biggest haul was made by the police in Kabankalan City, who were able to confiscate about 220 grams of suspected shabu from five arrested drug suspects.
The confiscated shabu has a market value of P1,489,000, according to the police.
A buy bust operation in Hacienda Bacsay, Barangay Robles, La Castellana, on Thursday, also led to the arrest of a 49-year-old driver, which yielded about 10 grams of suspected shabu, valued at P68,000.
The two buy bust operations of the police in Brgy. Crossing Magallon, Moises Padilla, and Brgy. 1 Poblacion, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, also led to the apprehension of Small Town Lottery (STL) bet solicitor and a 27-year-old man, on Nov. 14, which also led to the confiscation of an estimated five grams of suspected shabu with a total market value of P34,000.
On Nov. 11, the police also seized about 150 grams of suspected shabu from arrested drug suspects in another buy bust operation conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit at Villa Angela Subdivision in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City.
The confiscated illegal drugs were valued at P1,020,000.*
