Ten farm workers were reported to have been hit by a lightning strike at Hacienda Concordia in Brgy. Ma-ao, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Witnesses said that the victims were taking shelter after loading sugarcanes onto a cargo truck when they were hit by lightning that followed heavy rains.
All the victims, whose identities were not available as of press time, were immediately brought to the Bago City District Hospital for treatment.
Two of the victims were reported by the Bago City police to be in critical condition, while others suffered minor injuries.*
