The Police Regional Office – Negros Island Region marked Police Ethics Day on January 5 at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City by honoring 10 police personnel for rendering exemplary performances.
Awardees for the 32nd PNP Ethics Day Celebration included PLt. Col. Joeson Parallag, Bayawan City police chief in Negros Oriental, and PCp| Christy Rose Catid, in recognition for their commitment through establishing the OPLAN MARVEL (Operational Plan Multi-Action Response Via Enforcement of Law) in all barangays of Bayawan City, which allows beneficiaries to provide sustainable source of income;
PCapt. Maricar Tapiru was recognized for her commitment, by conducting a TESDA-accredited skills training program for the Women’s Association of Barangay 27, Bacolod City;
PMSg Reynard Tingcang, who is assigned at the Tourist Action Police Unit of the Siquijor Police Provincial Office, was given recognition for his commitment through selfless act of kindness by conducting a first aid on one of the tourist visitors at Sambulawan Cave Underground River, Brgy. Tagmanocan, Lazi, Siquijor;
Pat Junrey L Abarquez, Tourist Police Patroller also of SPPO Tourist Action Police Unit, was also recognized for his commitment through a noble act of compassion by assisting the foreign national Thomas Osborn, who was struggling to maneuver his wheelchair while boarding a vessel at Siquijor Port, Brgy. Poblacion, Siquijor;
PLt. Col. Terrence Paul Santa Ana, Victorias City police chief, and PSSg. Mark Joseph Juayong, for their commitment demonstrated through the founding of BALAY PAGLAUM, a project that constructed a housing unit for a family at Hda. Nagle, Bogy. XII, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
PEMS Joseph Rodrigo Olis, also of Victorias City Police Station, in recognition of his commitment demonstrated through exemplifying the true essence of Serbisyong may Malasakit by providing groceries to vulnerable members of the Victorias City community;
PSSg. Anna Katrina Pacot, of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-NIR for her commitment demonstrated through an unselfish act of offering to breastfeed a six month-old baby at an evacuation center at MDRRMO Headquarters, Sitio Malapagyao, Brgy. Poblacion, Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental; and
Pat Jushane Henry Clamiano, also of RMFB NIR, in recognition of his commitment demonstrated through bravery amid Typhoon Tino, as he carried an infant in his arms while firmly holding the hand of a seven year-old child and guiding them to safety through the storm at Brgy. XIII, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
PBrig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, PRO-NIR chief, assisted Atty. Phillip Bernard Capadosa, Director II, Civil Service Commission, Negros Island Region, in the distribution of awards to outstanding police personnel.
In the same activity, the PRO-NIR also distributed 74 desktop computers and four laptops to the different police units across the region.*
