The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) on Thursday recorded 10 more volcanic earthquakes at Kanlaon Volcano, which remains under Alert Level 3.
According to its bulletin, the earthquakes were recorded from 12 midnight of April 23 to 12 midnight of April 24.
During the same period, the volcano emitted more than 2,736 tons of sulfur dioxide, with plumes reaching a height of 150 meters.
Ground deformation has also been observed, with the volcano’s edifice still inflated.
From April 20 until Thursday midnight, PHIVOLCS logged a total of 52 earthquakes at Kanlaon Volcano.*
