A total of 102 Army soldiers from southern Negros are now in Palawan, participating in the sixth iteration of the annual Armed Forces of the Philippines Joint Exercise (AJEX DAGIT-PA).

In a statement, the 3ID said the 102 Army soldiers recently graduated from three months of Battalion of Excellence training at Camp Macario Peralta in Jamindan, Capiz and are members of the 15th Infantry Battalion assigned in southern Negros.

The 47th Infantry Battalion is presently occupying the areas vacated by 15IB in southern Negros.

The AJEX DAGIT-PA, which started yesterday and will run until November 18, aims to strengthen the military’s territorial defense capabilities.

All participating military personnel participated in joint interoperability events and command post exercises, according to a statement released by the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division.

It has encompassed significant events such as Cyber Defense Exercise in Camp Aguinaldo; Air Detection and Interception viewed from Pasay City; Live Fire Exercise and Urban Operations in Capiz; Maritime Operations in Panay; and Amphibious Operations with Special Operations in Antique.

The 15IB soldiers left Panay island on Nov. 6, on board a Philippine Navy ship.*
