11 suspects caught, shabu, guns seized

The series of anti-drug operations of the police Friday and Saturday in Negros Occidental led to the arrest of 11 persons for violation of RA 9165,also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, and the recovery of about P580,000 worth of suspected shabu, as well as guns.

Drug suspects Dennis Barcillo and Antonio Sia are in jail, following their arrests on Friday in separate buy-bust operations in Brgys. Zone 15 and 6,all in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

The apprehension of Sia, 28, who is a resident of Brgy.31, Bacolod City, at Hacienda Claparols in Brgy. Zone 15, Talisay City,by the joint operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit and the local police yielded P350,000 worth of suspected shabu, P7,800 in cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of illegal drugs, and P500 in marked money.

A similar anti-drug operation led to the apprehension of Barcillo at Burgos Street in Brgy. Zone 6, Talisay City, and yielded P20,400 worth of suspected shabu, P1000 in marked money, and two disposable lighters.

Three other drug suspects identified as Ryan Framo and Anthony Andas, as well as Adelino Aplaon Jr. were also apprehended by the police on Saturday in Brgy. 9, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

The arrest of Framo and Andas yielded P12,000 worth of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia, P1,151 in cash, three cellular phones and P100 in marked money.

The Kabankalan City police led by Lt. Col. Mary Rose Salve Pico also discovered that Andas has a pending arrest warrant for violation of RA 9165,or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.

The arrest of Aplaon yielded P24,000 worth of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia, a cellular phone, P100 in marked money and P1,239 in cash, the police said.

Two more drug suspects identified by the police as Rene Delotina and Cristopher Yu were also arrested by the police in another buy-bust operation that yielded P60,000 worth of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money and a vehicle. In Hacienda Payhum, Brgy.Burgos, Cadiz City.

Shabu worth P54,400, a Kawasaki motorcycle and P3,000 in marked money were seized by the police from Vicente Roquero in another buy-bust operation at Brgy. Rizal in Silay City, Negros Occidental, also on Friday.

The apprehension of April Lloyd Temblor in Brgy. Rizal, Sagay City in a buy-bust operation yielded P4,000 worth of suspected shabu and P500 in marked money, as well as P340 in cash.

The arrest of Alfredo Ibanez during a buy-bust operation in Hacienda Sonia, Brgy. Bug-ang, Toboso, yielded a homemade 45 caliber pistol with a magazine with a magazine containing five live ammunition, seven sachets of suspected shabu worth P816 and P500 in marked money.
The police also arrested HerloHadia in Brgy. Recreo, Pontevedra on Saturday, following the raid at his residence, conducted by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Cyclamen Jison Fernandez.

As a result of the raid, Hadia surrendered a.45 caliber Colt pistol with two magazines containing 17ammunition.
Police also nabbed Kevin Arioste in Brgy. Refugio, Calatrava, for violation of RA 9165, that also led to the seizure of P6,000 worth of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money and a cellular phone.*
