No barangay in the 5th district of Negros Occidental has been left behind in the distribution of electric tricycles, or -trikes, yesterday by Rep. Ma. Lourdes Arroyo, which was held yesterday at the Social Cultural Center of Isabela town.
Arroyo yesterday said that the distribution of 117 E-trikes to all barangays in the 5th district as Christmas gifts, was made after a series of consultations with concerned barangay officials.
Whether they are my supporters, or not, all of them have been included in the distribution of multi-purpose vehicles, she stressed.
The electric tricycle or e-Trikes is a three-wheeled electric vehicle that is used to ferry a few passengers in short distances in side streets.
“It is very fulfilling to see the barangay captains happy this Christmas,” Arroyo said.
Mayor Irene Montilla yesterday said that Isabela town is very grateful for the generosity of Rep. Arroyo.
“It will very helpful to all, especially in the 30 barangays of Isabela,” Montilla added.
La Castellana Mayor Alme Rhummyla Nicor-Mangilimutan, Moises Padilla Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo, Binalbagan Mayor Alejandro Mirasol, Hinigarann Vice Mayor Teresita Gabrido and Himamaylan City Mayor Raymund Tongson also took turns in thanking Arroyo for her support to their respective towns and city.
Also attending the activity were Isabela Vice Mayor Renato Malabor Jr, board member aspirants Boyet Espinosa and Anton Occeño. Binalbagan vice mayoralty bet Mary Ann Mirasol, barangay captains and kagawads in the 5th district, among others.*
