Eleventh grader Antonnette Garcia from the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City topped the Graded Masters-Girls in the Milo Storm U22 International Junior Bowling Championship in Malaysia.
The remarkable victory marks a significant milestone not just for Garcia, but also for the STAI-Bowler X community. As the first international champion from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Antonnette has etched her name in the annals of bowling history, serving as an inspiration to young athletes everywhere.
Coach Billy Lopue, a USBC Silver-certified mentor, played a pivotal role in shaping Antonnette’s journey. His unwavering dedication and expertise have been instrumental in nurturing the potential of local bowlers, enabling them to excel on the global stage. Credit was also extended to Jinky Besa and her incredible team for providing Antonnette with the essential mental and emotional support needed to thrive in such a high-stakes competition.
