Twelve personnel of the Bureau of Fire and Protection – Bacolod and Police Regional Office – Negros Island Region were conferred with Medalya ng Papuri on Monday during the traditional flag raising ceremonies, separately held at the BFP regional headquarters in Talisay City and Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, in recognition of exemplary performance.
FChief Supt. Rodolfo Denaga, BFP – Negros Island Region chief, led the awarding of medals to the eight recipients, including FSupt. Jenny Mae Masip, Bacolod City Fire Marshal, FInsp. Jemarie Tapiru, Senior Fire Officers 1 Gelvin Mapa, Francis James Bariento and Mohammad Saleh Ahmad Albadarneh, FO3 Joana Marie Trecho, Fire Officers 1 Gabriel Gabrido and Stephin Magdato, in Talisay City.
The awardees were recognized by the BFP for helping a woman deliver a baby girl in front of the Bacolod Fire Station on November 22.
On the other hand, four policemen were given medals by the Police Regional Office-NIR for their outstanding service and exemplary performance at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr.in Bacolod City.
Medalya ng Papuri were conferred to P/Lt. Col. Edison Garcia for securing third place in the Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course, Class of 2024-06, with a grade of 93.5 percent at the National Police College, Davao Campus, and PCapt. Lloyd Michael Calunod, police chief of Enrique Villanueva Police Station in Siquijor for the attainment of a zero crime rate in August this year
Medalya ng Pagtulong sa Nasalanta was also awarded by PRO-NIR to PCapt. Everly Canto and PCpl. Arjay Z Dagongdong for their active participation and invaluable service.
P/Brig. Gen. Dennis Esguerra, PRO-NIR deputy regional director for Administration, led the awarding ceremony.*
