The Police Regional Office 6 said 12,285 of the more than 13,000 police personnel under its supervision in Western Visayas have already been inoculated, as of Sunday.
Of the vaccinated personnel, 1,783 are assigned at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office and 739 at the Bacolod City Police Office, the PNP Health Service records show, adding that the remaining 452 NOCPPO personnel and 47 BCPO operatives will also receive the vaccines against the coronavirus disease 2019 soon.
The report also said that, of the 1,355 PRO 6 personnel infected with Covid, 1,269 have recovered, with 81 active cases and five deaths. One new infection was recorded Sunday.
Of the active cases, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office logged 20, Aklan PPO – 13, National Support Units – 11, PRO 6 regional headquarters – 10, Guimaras PPO – 8, Antique PPO – 7, Capiz PPO – 6, Iloilo City Police Office – 3, NOCPPO – 2, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion – 1.*
