A total of 1,296 personnel of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office have been vaccinated, as of Aug. 12, NOCPPO deputy spokesperson, P/Lt. Abegael Donasco, said yesterday.
Donasco said 988 have been fully vaccinated and 308 received their first dose.
With the arrival of 315 of 900 vials of AstraZeneca vaccine earmarked by the Department of Health for NOCPPO, Donasco said they may able to inoculate the remaining 929 unvaccinated police personnel soon.
Since last year, 210 NOCPPO personnel had tested positive for Covid, with 204 recoveries, four active cases, and two deaths.
All over Western Visayas, the PNP Health Service reported 1,296 cases, with 1,112 recoveries, 180 active infections, and five deaths.*
