Eight more barangays to go for EB Magalona to be declared as a “drug cleared” municipality in Negros Occidental.
This was after the Regional Oversight Committee Deliberation on the Barangay Drug Clearing Program yesterday declared Barangay Tomongtong in EB Magalona as “drug cleared” during a zoom meeting, attended by barangay captain Haydiginia Bendencion, Vice Mayor Eric Matulac and deputy police chief PLt. Minardo Ellaga.
Barangay Tomongtong in EB Magalona is the 15th barangay declared as “drug cleared” by the regional oversight committee, PCapt. Eric Doronilla, the town acting police chief, said.
EB Magalona has 23 barangays.
In a statement, Doronilla said the Municipal Anti – Drug Abuse Council headed by Mayor Marvin Malacon, which is continuously campaigning its “War Against Illegal Drugs” in tandem with other government agencies, is determined to make EB Magalona a drug-cleared municipality.*
